Tactic Remote 1.6.5: Plan Mode, Prompt Queue, and Push Notifications

v1.6.5 changes how you interact with Claude from your phone. Instead of watching a terminal and typing one prompt at a time, you can now review plans, queue up work, change direction mid-task, and walk away knowing push notifications will bring you back when Claude needs you.

Plan Mode

When Claude enters plan mode, Tactic Remote now shows the execution plan in a structured view. You can see what Claude intends to do — which files it will edit, which tools it will call — before it starts. This gives you a checkpoint to course-correct early, rather than discovering a wrong turn after Claude has already made changes.

Prompt Queue

Previously, you had to wait for Claude to finish one prompt before sending the next. Prompt queue removes that constraint. Draft multiple prompts, arrange them in order, and let them execute sequentially. A new drafts panel shows your queued prompts with a badge count, and you can restore or delete individual drafts.

This is especially useful for multi-step workflows: set up a sequence of tasks, let Claude work through them, and check in later.

Steer

Sometimes Claude is heading in the right general direction but needs a course correction. Steer lets you redirect Claude mid-task without canceling the current session. No need to start over — just adjust.

Push Notifications

Tactic Remote now uses Apple's native APNs (Apple Push Notification service) for delivery. When Claude finishes a task or encounters an error, you get a notification even if the app is in the background or your phone is locked.

This is the piece that ties the other features together. Queue your prompts, put the phone down, and let the notification tell you when to come back.

Bug Fixes

• Terminal session isolation — Each session now uses a dedicated tmux socket, preventing conflicts with your existing tmux sessions on the server.
• Input focus stability — Fixed an issue where the chat composer would lose focus while typing.
• npx and scroll fixes — Resolved issues with the npx tacticremote package and terminal scroll behavior reported by users.
